## Isolines in Geography and Meteorology

Isolines (or lines of equal value) are cartographic and meteorological markers representing spatial distributions of physical phenomena:

- Isobar: A line connecting points of equal atmospheric pressure.
- Isobath: A line representing equal depth below a water surface.
- Isohaline: A line connecting points of equal salinity in oceans or water bodies.
- Isohyet: A line representing points receiving equal amounts of precipitation (rainfall).
- Isotherm: A line connecting locations with equal temperature.
- Isohel: A line connecting places receiving equal amounts of solar radiation (sunshine).
- Isoneph: A line representing points with equal average cloud cover.
- Isohume: A line connecting points of equal relative humidity.
- Isodrosotherm: A line connecting points of equal dew point temperature.
- Isotach: A line representing points of equal wind speed.
- Isostere: A line of equal atmospheric density.
- Isogonal: A line connecting points of equal magnetic declination.
- Isochasm: A line representing points of equal frequency of auroras.
- Isochrone: A line connecting points of equal travel time from a common origin.
- Isodapane: A line connecting points of equal total transport costs on an economic map.
