5. Kakrapar:

  • Type: Pressurized Heavy Water Reactor.

  • Operation: 6th May 1993.

  • Present on the Bank of the River Tapi.

 

6. Kalpakkam: (Indira Gandhi Nuclear Power Station)

  • Location: Tamil Nadu

  • Operator: Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd.

  • Operation: It is India’s first Indigenous Nuclear Power Station.

 

7. Narora:

  • Location: Uttar Pradesh, on bank of the River Ganga.

  • Operator: Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd.

  • Type: Pressurized heavy water reactor.

  • Operation: 1st Jan 1991

  • Collaboration: Russia.
