First In Noble Prize

1. Rabindranath Tagore: (1913)
   • In 1993 Rabindranath Tagore was awarded with the Nobel prize for Literature.
   • He was the first ever Indian and also the firstNon-European to win the Nobel prize in Literature.
   • He got the Nobel prize for his Lyrics Collection Gitanjali.
2. Chandrasekhara Venkat Raman: (1930)
   • C.V Raman was the first Indian Scientist to win the Nobel prize from the Study of Scattering of light known as Raman Effect in 1930.
   • He was the first Indian and Asian to win this Coveted prize in physics.
3. Hargobind Khorana: (1968 in Medicine)
   • He got the Nobel prize for Medicine in 1968 for the study of Human Genetic code and its role in Protein Synthesis.
4. Mother Tersa: (1979 for Peace)
   • Mother Teresa got the Novel Prize for Peace in 1979 for her service through her charitable mission “Nirmal Hriday” at Calcutta to people suffering from Leprosy and to these people dying in destitute.
5. Dr. Subramanian Chandra Sekhar: (1983 in Physics)
   • He got the Nobel prize in the year 1983 for Physics i.e.Astrophysics.
   • He was awarded for his work in Physics on Chandra Sekhar Limit which determines the physical processes of important to the structure and evolution of the stores.
6. Amartya Sen: (1998 in Economics)
   • He got the Novel prize in 1998 for Economics Specially Welfare Economics.
7. Venkatraman Ramakrishna: (2009, Chemistry)
   • He Got the Nobel prize for the year 2009 for Chemistry for his work on the structure and function of the Ribosome.

      8. Kailash Satyarthi: (2014 in Peace)

• • He got the Nobel Prize in the Year 2014 jointly with Malala Yousafzai of Pakistan.
  • He Got for his contribution “ For his struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education”.
  • He is founded “ BachpanBachaoAndolan ’’ an NGO organization which works towards freeing children from slavery and also he fight against child labor and children’s right towards education.
